Picture time...

We finally went and got the boys pictures taken. They both had birthdays in June, got the pictures taken in July, and I am finally posting them at the beginning of September... just a little behind. Cy finally has his 1 year pics and Ryken has his 3 year ones. So ENJOY the cuteness of our boys. :)

Cy wasn't a big fan of gettin his picture taken. But I expected that. Ryken on the other hand was enjoyin every minute of it. He has always been that way for the most part. :) I am was pleased with what we were able to get out of both of them. I just love getting to look back and see how much they have grown year after year.

Fun filled family weekends...

We got out of the heat the last 2 weekends to go up north and spend time with some of my family. And we had tons of fun! The first weekend we went up for the 24th of July celebrations in Snowflake. And of course it was lots of fun and I hope we can get up there every year especially as the boys get older so they can enjoy it more too. :) We had lots of fun with fireworks that my parents had gotten. Ryken had his first sparkler experience and He LOVED it. Hopefully he isn't going to be some kind of phyro.

Then we got to sit and watch the annual parade. Ryken is older now that he actually likes it more since he can run out to get candy. But he still needs to work on that a little more. :) Thank goodness for awesome cousins that helped him get some of his own, and shared theirs with him too.

Ryken was also nice enough to share a sucker with Cy. It was his first sucker, and I am sure it won't be his last. Cause he LOVED it. :)

And Ryken got an otter pop at the parade too, and enjoyed breakin it open right then to eat it.

That weekend we also got to watch some good fireworks in Taylor. It took awhile to get them started cause we waited around the church parking lot for close to an hour and half probably. Which isn't much fun with a crazy 3 year old and a crazy fussy 1 year old. But once the fireworks started it was a little easier to control them. And of course we got to spend great time with family.

Then the following weekend we went up to Vernon to have our annual Baker family campout /reunion. We had to go up on Saturday cause of Justin's work schedule, and that was kinda stinky cause it rained the whole way up basically. And once we got to the campsite it rained that whole night. So we never got our tent up. We drove back to my parents house and stayed there and in the morning headed back up to the campsite. The boys still had lots of fun. And all I can say is Cy is all BOY! He loved being outside and playing in the rain and dirt. Ryken even enjoyed it too. Thanks to all his cousins. We brought up a little horse shoe set for the kids to play...

And of course we had to have some bubbles to keep the kids busy...

Coloring was another kid activity...

And Ryken wanted to do some flips. :) So Justin passed the time playin with the boys and helping with the flips.

Our camping family. :)

Ryken and his cousin Cordd. Best buddies!

OH and the kids found a pile of ashes my dad had gotten out of the fire, and decided it was funner to play in that then the dirt. :)

Us adults passed the time by playin cards and snacking away.

The boys were so pooped by the end of the campout. WE had a great time like always but I just wish we had actually gotten to camp! Oh well there is always next year. And hopefully then it won't rain the whole time. :)

Ryken is 3.

Wow, I still find it hard to believe we have a 3 year old! But then I realise we do when he acts the way he does. :) He really is a good kid when it comes to certain things, but then there are the things that make Justin and I wonder sometimes. :) Since we had already had his and Cy's birthday party a week before his actual birthday we still wanted to try and make the day special for him. And I think Justin did just that, he brought Ryken his own smoothie from Jamba and also some fun balloons, what kid doesn't like balloons? :)

Can't you just tell how happy he is?

I had to put him in his birthday shirt again that day. Just to show off that he is 3 and all. :)
We decided that we would take the boys to Peter Piper Pizza again, and of course Ryken was all game for that decision. He wanted to play the games right when we got there. While we waited for the pizza he played some games...

Whack a mole...

A car racing game with Justin...

And of course he had to play one of his favorite tv show games.... Deal or no deal. :) And wouldn't you guess it he ended up with a case that had 100 tickets in it. He was so excited, Justin said he let Ryken pick all the cases himself too.

Showing off all his tickets.

After our fun filled night at Peter Piper we headed home to have some cake and Ice Cream and open a few more presents.

He loved his last minute decorated cake, can't you tell. :) And I know it looks alot like the one we made for Cy. What can I say we aren't very much into cake decorating at our house. :) He was very excited to get to open his presents, what 3 year old isn't right?

He got his very own laptop, cause he is obsessed with trying to play with our computer, wish my idea really worked that maybe he wouldn't try to play with our computer if he had this one of his own, but it didn't. :) Wishful thinking. He does like this atleast.

SO Excited for his own monster truck flaming crash ramp. :)

Got to test it out later with Daddy. :)
I think that he had a pretty good day and night for his birthday. And so did the rest of us. :)
Just a little bit about Ryken now...
He LOVES letters and numbers. He has for awhile, and loves to sing the ABC's and can count to atleast 30. He loves numbers so much that sometimes he will just get a calculator out and play with it. :) He is my little smart man and I am hoping takes after his daddy, with his smarts.
Another thing he likes about numbers is that he can tell time on a digital clock, he is always telling us what time it is when we are at home or in the car, and now likes to tell us the temperature outside when we are in the car cause of the thermometer in the car. :)
Can spell his name. (now i guess we should try to get him to write it. :) )
He likes shapes and colors alot too.
He likes to sing songs, and mostly ones that he learns in Nursery. Sometimes he will just want to keep singing songs over and over again when we are driving around.
Loves his little brother Cy guy, and is always wanting to wake him up every morning.
He loves puzzles and coloring as well as playing all of his fun board games.
Ryken just is an all around good kid as long as you catch him at the right time. :) But we love him no matter what, and can't wait to see what the next year is like with our cute, smart, loveable little 3 year old.

Boys combined birthday party.

June is a busy month for us. It is basically another Christmas at our house. :) Cy's birthday is on the 10th and then Ryken's is 2 weeks later on the 24th. So this year and I am sure for many more years we had a combined birthday party for both of them. And it was pretty darn fun if you ask me. :) We had it at a party place in Tempe called "pump it up". It was fun for everyone, adults and kids. So we had lots of family and friends join us to help celebrate.

Cy in his new shirt showin off his new age. : )

And Ryken in his too, can't believe he is already 3! Crazy!
So at pump it up it is basically an indoor bounce house place. So there are slides and other fun things all over the place. Ryken was a little scared at first to do the slides alone but once he did it the 1st time he was all about it!

And of course I never got a great pic of him, cause every time he went down he was so fast. And always going down on his belly. Here he is at the top of the slide getting ready to go down.

Cy took a few turns on the slides too, but of course with me and Justin. Not sure he liked it much but I did. :)

Justin and Ryken taking a turn together...

they made it to the bottom. :)

All the kids that were there getting a group shot. :)

Cy eyeing his cupcake as everyone sang happy birthday to him. And of course once again he wanted nothing to do with the cupcake.

Ryken blowing out his candles with all his might. :)
There was this little party room we were in to have cake and open presents and they have the birthday kid sit in this big throne to open presents.

I got to test it out while I helped Cy open his presents. :)

Then Ryken got his turn, and believe me these boys got spoiled by all their friends and family with presents. They are so lucky to have such great people to celebrate with.

After we opened presents we were on a time limit at the place so we wanted to do lunch with everyone too so we headed over to Peter Piper to have some pizza and play games there. And that too was lots of fun!

Had to get a little picture with the new little 1 year old. :)

And of course another with both our birthday boys!
Once we were home and got the presents home to play with too, the boys were in heaven. :) Like I said it is like another Christmas, thank goodness it is 6 months between. :)

Cy LOVES his corn popper, and of course I think it is funny that he loves it so much, but can only take so much. (thanks for the great gift Bo and Nicole. :) )

And Ryken enjoying his new toy that helps teach him how to write his letters and draw other stuff too. He is such a funny kid and loves his letters, numbers and shapes. So this is a great thing for him.
So again we had a great birthday party and were so glad we were able to celebrate it with such great family and friends! So thank you everyone for everything. I still find it hard to believe that my boys are getting so big. We have a 1 year old and a 3 year old! CRAZY! The time goes by way to fast! We love our boys and are so happy they had such a great day.
