Ryken is 1/2 year old!

I wasn't good about posting a new blog about Ryken turning 6 months old but I have good reason. The actual day was on Christmas Eve so I was pretty busy. And have been the past few days. We had a great Christmas and hope you all did too. It was great getting to spend lots of time with family. We were able to see both of our families this year for Christmas. And it worked out great. And was even better since it was Ryken's first Christmas too. It made it that much more special. We haven't gotten to go to the doctor for Ryken's 6 month check up so we don't know yet how much he weighs or how tall he is but I can say that he is a big boy! He is such a good baby too. I couldn't have asked for a better baby. He has grown up so much and I never thought that the time would go by so fast. And that we would already be to this point. Whenever people would tell me that they grow up so fast I wasn't so sure about it. But now I can for sure agree with them. It is hard to think that 6 months have gone by and in another 6 he is going to be a year old. He hasn't gotten any teeth yet but I think it could be any day now. He always has ALL of his fingers in his mouth now days. And is such a slobber monkey. He is also such a happy baby. He smiles all the time and of course makes us smile too. We are so grateful for the blessing that he is to us. Like I said we could have asked for a better baby. :)

He was such a good boy when he got to see Santa Claus. All smiles !

He has learned how to sit up really good these past few weeks. And I am so happy! Now I can take him to get his picture taken and not have to worry about him just laying on his back or belly. Oh and for the fact that he is getting to be such a big boy. :)

Its the most wonderful time of the year!

Well as you all know its the most wonderful time of the year! Yep Christmas. I don't know anyone that doesn't love this time of year. Well maybe my dad when it comes to somethings. But thats okay we still love him. But any who. We put up our Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago but I left our camera in Woodruff at my parents house and didn't get it back for a week. But we actually went out and bought a new camera anyways. We really wanted to get a new one for Christmas so I guess we just got an early gift. :) So I got a pic of the tree. And Justin was a great hubby and hung up some lights outside on our house too. Now I just need to get started on our baking for all of friends and family. Thats always fun too but we will see how it goes this year with our little guy being here now. Well I was kinda bored the other day and wanted to take some cute pics of Ryken in a litte Christmas onesie and I got a few but not as good as I was hoping for. So I hope everyone is all ready for Christmas and has their shopping done. I know I don't. :) OH and we went to the mall and got Ryken's pic taken with Santa. I just wish we had a scanner to scan the pic onto the computer so I could post it. But he just smiled so big when he was on his lap. Such a great pic for the first time. I wonder how he will be next year.....

Here is our tree. We even have presents under it already. I know that next year the tree will look so different since by then Ryken will be all over the place and probably all over the tree.

Here is our little cheeseball! I tried to get a little smile out of him but this is all the good I could get. Oh well he is still cute!
