Family fun before Christmas...

Every year we always have some fun family time before Christmas day. We usually get to have a fun family party with my mom's side of the family and then also a fun family party with my dad's side of the family too. We have had Family Christmas parties with both family's for as long as I can remember. So it is lots of fun to get to do it now and have my family involved too. :) This year I forgot to take my camera up with us to my mom's family Christmas party. But we had lots of great times like every year. We got to hang out with family we don't get to see much and eat lots of yummy food and just talk and remember all the fun past parties. We also got to go watch the Holbrook Light parade, which we have been doing for quite sometime too. I stayed in the warm car with Cy for the parade and Justin braved the cold and watched it outside with Ryken. Ryken had so much fun just watching all the people and floats in the parade. :) And of course we got to have some fun at my parents house, and Ryken LOVED getting to hangout and play with is cousins.

Before we had the party for my dad's side of the family we got some of us together and went to Mccormick Ranch Railroad park and rode the train and saw all the lights out there. Everyone else stayed later and saw Santa but we had to be on the road for our little guys to get to bed. But we enjoyed the time we were there.

Here was most of our group, pretty far back in the train even. We had close to 25 with us there that night. :)Ryken and Justin got front row seats and here we were going thru the tunnel with lights, Ryken loved all of it, Train ride + Christmas lights= An awesome time in Ryken's eyes. :)

The cute train in the front of the park. Ryken and Cy weren't to happy when I was trying to take the pic. lol

At the other family party we got to go on a fun hayride/caroling around a neighborhood by my uncles house. It was lots of fun. Chilly but fun.

Justin and Cy all bundled up before the ride. (ryken of course wouldn't let me take his picture)

We also did a gift exchange at both parties, and the last few years we just do the gift exchange along with a story. So as you listen to the story you have to pass your presents around the circle. It gets kinda tricky and funny when the little ones all try to do it. But they all seem to have fun, especially since there is a present at the end of it for them. :)

Here are some of the kiddos in the circle ready to start the passing of gifts.

Ryken got something that he LOVED, color wonder stuff!
We got the chance to take a few fun pictures while with everyone too.

Myself and Justin with the boys and also my parents and grandparents.

Mom and dad in the cute nativity cut out...

And Justin and myself too. lol

Then of course we got to have one more family party with my parents, brother's and all of their families. And this year it was lots of fun cause Mickey, Kelly and the girls came from Vegas to share in the fun!

Ryken getting ready to rip into his present...

And he got another winner, Gator Golf!
Cy was asleep when we did gifts so Tatum opened his and he got himself...

A musical turtle. :) That both him and Ryken of course LOVE.

The kiddos also got to have fun by frosting some sugar cookies, and they had lots of fun decorating the cookies and eating the cookies and frosting. :)
Here was Ryken and his masterpiece. Did it with some help from aunt Nicole. :)
Cy had fun at the party with his Uncle Mickey and all his girls as well as all the other aunts, uncles and cousins

Ryken joined in on the Karaoke fun, and sang his ABC's. :)

Since all of my parents grandkids were here this year they had to take the chance to get a picture with all of them, so here they are with all 11 grandkids and they have one more on the way. :)

Then we also got the chance to take the boys to see Santa at the Mall since we missed out at the train park. Ryken was so excited to see Santa and sit on his lap and that is all he talked about on the way to the mall. But of course once we got there and he saw him it was a different story. So it was a good thing there wasn't any other kids in line so we were able to chat with Santa and then Ryken decided it was ok to sit on his lap and talk to him too. After that it was tons of fun for him. :) And Cy, well he doesn't know much different yet. But we did get a pretty cute picture out of the visit.

Cute right? I sure think so. Hope you all have a Merry Christmas!!

5 months...

Wow, almost half a year old! My little Cy guy is getting up there. :) We are still enjoying all the joy he has been bringing to our family. Things are still about the same when it comes to his being fussy alot. But he also gets in alot of smiles and laughs too thru out the days. Which make us all smile and giggle.

He has started rolling over from his back to his belly, only one way so far. And then gets stuck on his belly and pretty much freaks out. So hopefully his next trick will be learning how to roll from his belly back to his back.

He is pretty obsessed with his toes and playing with them alot. He also likes to get in a little bit of fun playing with his rattle.

And he concentrates on it very hard. And he still curls up his toes like daddy too. :) We gave him some of his first tastes of Rice cereal this past month too and this is pretty much what he thought of it...

:) It isn't his favorite, and he for sure hasn't taken to eating it as well as Ryken did for the first time. But we are still working on it.

He is also likes to play with his tongue quite a bit and is always munching on his fingers or ours if we let him.

He is also getting pretty darn good at sitting up for a little bit by himself. So we are going to keep trying extra hard at that cause it seems to make him the happiest. I think he just wants to see what is going on all the time. All I know is the past 5 months have flown by pretty darn fast for us. And like I said before we are enjoying all the laughs and smiles we get from our chunky little guy every day. :)

Halloween 09

We had a great Halloween this year. By far the funnest so far because Ryken was pretty much loving it. We had to do a little convincing at first to get him to wear his costume. But once he heard that he would get lots of candy when he wore his costume, he was all for it. :) And it was also fun to get to see how cute both Ryken and Cy were in their costumes.

Ryken "the bat"

Cy "the giraffe"

We were able to get out and do 2 Trunk or Treats. We went to our ward party on Friday and played games and Ryken got to go around and get lots of candy with his cousin Tristan. He of course loved everything about it.

Here they were relaxing after all the walking around getting candy.

Cy stayed behind and helped me pass out candy to all the other adorable trick or treaters.

Then on Saturday we got to go out to Maricopa for the 3rd year in a row and do some more fun Trunk or Treating with our friends the Lee's. It was lots of fun to get to take Ryken and Porter around and see how much fun they had.

Ryken with his friend Porter "Peter Pan".

And Cy with Anastyn "Tinkerbell"

And finally an adorable picture of both of my little guys all tired out from a long evening of fun, friends and lots of candy. Thanks Lee's for inviting us out there again this year. We always have so much fun with you guys. :) Until next Halloween.

2 trips to the pumpkin patch...

I wanted to take Ryken to a pumpkin patch last year but we never did, and so I was bound and determined to get there this year. :) And I think he had a pretty good time. We got to go once as a family and then a second time when Justin's sister was here with her little boys. We ended up just driving to Gilbert to go to the one there both times. And like I said before we had lots of fun.

Justin and Ryken being the silly cow and pig. :)Ryken got to feed the goats and cow and chickens. And boy did he LOVE it. Picking out his very own pumpkin to...

decorate with lots of fun stickers. :)Here he was with his final product. So proud and happy. All my boys trying to make it thru the hay bale maze. Ryken did pretty darn good everytime he went thru it too. Here are the boys with all the pumpkins to pick from. We got a pretty good one to take home and carve. Here was Ryken a few days later with his cousin Tristan. Posing on the tractor together. lol, Ryken wasn't to happy about doing this for some reason. But he finally got the courage to sit on it for the picture. :)Cy was able to borrow this cute little hat from his cousin. And when it was folded up like that it made him look like Gilligan, from Gilligan's Island. Maybe we should have dressed him up as him for Halloween. :)This second trip to the pumpkin patch Ryken was brave enough to get in the bounce house. He never has wanted to before but his cousin got brave and did it so Ryken decided to also. And he didn't want to get out once he was in. And of course we had to get a picture of him by the big pumpkin so we can see how much he grew when we get back next year to enjoy all the fun again. :)

5 years!

Another year has passed, and that means that he has stuck it out one more year with me. :) Justin may be pretty crazy for making it thru the past 5 years but I sure am glad he has stuck it out. And I still look forward to the many years ahead of us, and the many more anniversaries ahead too.

We were able to get a night away without the boys, thanks to the planning of my husband and with the help of my parents. It was a great little get away and a much needed one too. So thanks mom and dad again for taking great care of our little guys for us. And thanks to my hubby for being so sweet and thoughtful and planning the night away for us.

Still smiling after the 5 married years together + the over one year of dating. :) I LOVE you Justin, and always will. XOXOXO!

4 months old...

4 months and counting. Cy is still pretty much the same kind of baby as he was last month, with the screaming and crying part. But he still gets a few smiles in every so often. We also found out that he has a little bit of an acid reflux problem. So he has a little bit of a spit up problem which Ryken also had but Ryken never had a problem with keeping his weight up. So he is on some meds for that but not sure if they are helping out. We shall see what the doctor says at his check up in a few days. I am hoping she has good news with his weight gaining so that we don't have to do further testing. Keeping my fingers crossed. All I can say is that most days I feel like a brand new mom. I am dealing with new things when it comes to our little Cy guy that I never had to conquer with Ryken. I am just so glad he is so darn cute. That is what makes it worth every hour, minute and second that he cries. :)
My mister BIG eyes. :)Testing out the Bumbo for the first time. This is one of the things that he will actually sit in for more than a minute and not cry. :)Little brother, and Big brother. :)Tried to get a first bath together picture. :)Just my cute little Cy guy all bundled up.

Happy guy!4 months old!!
