Christmas has come and gone...

It is always sad when the Christmas season is over. Because thru it all we usually get to spend lots of time with family. And so its no fun when its all over. But we had a great Christmas this year. As you can tell from the previous posts we had several family Christmas parties and had lots of fun at all of them. This year Justin was suppose to work on Christmas day. I asked him if he could try and get it off so that we could have a fun relaxing day instead of it being rushed. And he was able to get it off. So we were happy about that. Ryken had lots of fun this Christmas. Last year he didn't really know what to do with everything. But this year was a little better. He tore into most of his presents with a little bit of help. And of course once the gift was open he wanted to just play with it and didn't want to open another one. So it did take us a little longer then we expected to get all of his gifts opened. And after each toy he was pretty excited it was the clothes and shoes that seemed to bum him out. He didn't enjoy them. But needless to say they were probably more for me then him anyways. : ) We also had to help him out with his stocking he wasn't really sure what to do when it came to getting the stuff out of it.

But once he started he was happy to see what was inside. He likes Elmo and so Santa thought he would like this little see and say. : )

A few more of the gifts that he liked were...

This fancy magnadoodle thing. He loves magnets right now so this is so fun for him to get the animal shapes to show up on the screen.

He also really likes Mickey Mouse so he was SO happy with this fun Mickey book as well as his very own Singing Mickey!

Mommy and Daddy may be regretting that gift in the next few months, maybe even weeks. : )

Once we had opened all of our gifts from Santa and from each other Ryken still wanted to find more but wasn't able to so he decided to use a bag that had nothing in it for his very own hat...

Such a goofy, funny kiddo that's for sure. Once Ryken was down for his nap and got a little more sleep in Justin's parents came over. So we all had a late lunch together and enjoyed some down time and then it was back to opening some more presents.

Ryken got this Elmo Driver from Justin's parents. He is still a little scared by it. But I am sure it will get broken in one of these days. : )

This is his new little teddy bear so he had to show it some love. But then again I just think its a cute picture of him and his little grin. (oh and yes my son did stay in his pj's all day long.)

Just another funny/cute picture of Ryken. He usually doesn't like hats like this or any hat on his head but for some reason he will leave this beanie on for awhile. We just were getting a kick out of him and his silly little self. I think he enjoyed the attention. So we had a great Christmas this year and were spoiled beyond anything. We all got the things that we wanted and even a little more. But again I think the best part of this holiday is all the time we get to spend with the ones we love!

PS- It is not a good time to be pregnant with all the goodies around the house. I think I may have gained a few extra pounds that I didn't want to gain for awhile longer. But maybe I will just blame my chubby belly on the fact that its my second baby. : ) I can do that right? We hope that everyone had a great and safe Christmas and have a safe and fun New Year's too!

Our little Surprise!

The past month or so I have not been feeling like myself. I have been extremely tired. Very nauseous, and even pretty sick. I thought I had the flu. I guess I was wrong...

Because guess what? We found out that we are expecting a new little Buchberger! Yep you are hearing me right. We are pregnant!! It was a little bit of a surprise to us but we are so excited. And are really looking forward to the next 6 months and then some. : ) So we are now about 3 months in and I have started to feel a little better. Still tired but not as sick. Which makes me so HAPPY!

So here is the first somewhat good picture of our new one...

I waited awhile to really post anything cause I wanted to make sure everything was going well with me and the baby. So it seems to be going pretty good for both of us so far. : )

Filling in...

I guess its time to fill in the gap of my blog. I haven't been up to blogging much lately. Not sure if its just cause nothing that exciting has happened or if its just me. Oh wait I do know. It just me! I can't get enough time to even do it without Ryken bugging me with something. Oh the joys of having an almost 18 month old. : ) The only reason I can do it now is cause Mickey Mouse Clubhouse is on and its Saturday so that means there are 2 on today! YAY! Okay I know I am a bad mom to let him sit and watch TV. But it gives me a few mins without him at my feet or trying to sit on me or something. My mom said its cause he loves me, but come on now does he love me that much that he doesn't want to be left alone?

Anywho, this past weekend we were able to make a short trip up to Woodruff to visit my family again. And this time I mean all of us. JUSTIN GOT TO GO WITH US!!! It was great having another adult with me on the trip up. It means that I got to stop and go to the bathroom without having to worry about what I was going to do with Ryken. Which was awesome believe me! : ) And it meant that I had another person to talk to that really could have a conversation with me instead of just a bunch of jabbering. But best of all it meant that we got our daddy and our hubby with us for the weekend. : ) We were going to leave on Friday when Justin got done doing some stuff for work. But he ended up getting home later than we thought so we just decided to leave on Saturday morning. So we spent a little time just relaxing that night. I had to take a picture of him in his new Christmas pj's that his grandma Buchberger got for him.

Then on Saturday we got on the road of course later then we wanted to like always. But we were able to make it up there in time for the Hatch family Christmas party that we were going up for. And we even got to stop in Snowflake to pick up some Bits pizza that I love so much! That night was also the Light Parade in Holbrook so we always go to that before the party. It was nice this year cause there wasn't any snow like the past 2 years. But it was still pretty cold. Ryken seemed to enjoy it for the most part he sat and watched all the floats and ate a sucker that he got there too.

After the parade we all headed over to the party. We always have a good time with my mom's side of the family. So nothing was different this year. Except for the fact that Ryken was so tired and grumpy. But that came and went thru the night. So we got to open another early Christmas gift and Ryken enjoyed his gift at this party too.

His face doesn't really show it but he does like it. : ) Like I said he was tired. We also got to enjoy some more family time and some Hot coco and donuts like every year. And also like every year we had a great time!

On Sunday we had a pretty relaxing day. We went to Church with my parents and afterwards went back to there house to enjoy more down time with family. Ryken enjoyed playing outside with daddy and grandpa and a few of his cousins, while mommy just relaxed inside where it was warm. : ) But he also had a little fun inside. Playing with grandma and grandpa's phone...

He is so funny with the phone. He tries to say "hello" but it comes out more like "yo". And while we were there of course Ryken didn't sleep that well like he always does when we go other places. So that meant that mommy didn't get much sleep either. So we got a chance that day to take a little nap together. And Justin of course had to snap a picture of it.

So like always we had a great weekend with my parents and this weekend we even got to spend more time with the extended family too. Including a few of my brothers and their families. Oh and before we left we had to get one more silly picture of Ryken. Someone found these safety/sport type glasses while we were there. So we put them on Ryken and got this picture...

Oh this kid is to much sometimes! But we love him so darn much!

Early Christmas party...

Thanksgiving has now past and we had a good one. It seemed like it all went by to fast. My brother Mickey and his family came in from Las Vegas and stayed with us on Wednesday night. And that was fun to get to play some games with my nieces that night and stay up a little and watch a Christmas movie with them since I don't get to see them very often. The next day being Thanksgiving we were all able to meet up at my grandparents house in Mesa and do lunch there. So myself and Justin and Ryken were there along with all 4 of my brothers and their families and my parents and grandparents and a few others too. : ) It was great for us all to be there and enjoy some time together as a family. Justin had to work that night so he had to leave early to get some more sleep and go to work. So Ryken and I hung out with everyone else that night at Deak's place. Of course I guess there was to much going on or maybe I was just to lazy to break out the camera but I didn't get any pictures that day. : (

The next day was just a little more relaxed for me. I didn't need to go out and do any Black Friday shopping like my mom and sister-in-law. So later I just met up at my Grandparents and hung out with my parents. Till later that night when myself and my 3 sister-in-laws decided to go and catch a late showing of Twilight! I was pretty excited that I had someone to go see it with since it seemed like everyone else I knew had already seen it. We had a fun time even if some of us didn't like the movie as much as others. :) I was in need of a little girl time so thanks for the fun few hours girls.

And finally on Saturday we were planning on having a little early Christmas party as a family since we were all in Arizona. We met up at Jared and Lori's and there had our 2nd annul Baker Family Christmas Brunch. It was lots of fun to just relax with everyone and enjoy all the company. Ryken had lots of fun once he stopped being a stinker and played with some of his cousins.

Every year we each draw names for who to buy gifts for. And we usually all try to go in with us kids and get my parents something that they want. This year we decided to get my mom a new camera since hers was broken and she wanted one with bigger screen. And this was her reaction when she got it...

Priceless right. I guess she really liked it. And so did I. Lori did good on picking out a cute one just for mom. And apparently my mom told Lori that my dad had been wanting an Ipod. So that is what he got...

Hopefully he liked his gift as much as mom did. : ) Another person that loved the gift that they got was Ryken. He is the biggest fan of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and loves to watch it on TV every day. So of course he would love his gift...

Here he is trying to get to the gift inside...

Yay! Mickey Mouse Clubhouse on DVD! He had the biggest smile on his face when he saw this. I of course didn't capture it on film but you had to be there to see the excitement. And later everyone was nice enough to let him watch a few episodes on the DVD. Thanks Jared for giving up the TV for a little while. : ) Justin and I loved our gifts too. Even though I have yet to see mine, but I know I will love it when I do get it. : ) While we were out there that night and once Justin got to join us out there since he worked that morning, we ended up watching a few Christmas movies and just getting into the holiday spirit. Thanks for the great time and for having it out at your place Jared and Lori!

Since we were in the holiday spirit we decided to put up our Christmas decorations on Monday. Justin was great and went out Monday afternoon and hung up the lights outside. And later that night we put up the tree. Once Ryken was asleep of course since we didn't want it to be a major disaster. I was a little worried of how Ryken was going to be with the tree this year but I am happy to say that he is great with it! He hasn't really tried to take off the ornaments or pull at anything yet. But I guess we still have a few more weeks. : )

If you look close you can see him at the bottom checking it all out. Now if we can just keep him from opening the presents once they are wrapped we may have a happy holiday at our house this year. : )
